Richard Gere to Join Conversation Evening on Tibet and the World of Tomorrow

This year marks a significant moment for the global Tibetan community, with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama turning 90 in July. 2025 has also been declared “The Year of Compassion” by Sikyong Penpa Tsering, honoring the Dalai Lama’s lifelong message of peace. This occasion calls for renewed global attention to Tibet’s struggle for cultural preservation, human rights, and self-determination.

To mark this momentous occasion, renowned actor and activist Richard Gere will join us tonight at the Conversation Evening – Tibet and The World of Tomorrow. The event will explore crucial questions about Tibet’s future and its role in a rapidly changing world. What does the future hold for Tibet? How can Tibetan identity thrive amid global challenges? What role does Tibet play in global discussions on human rights, environmental sustainability, and compassion?
