Conversation Evening - Tibet and The World of Tomorrow
This year marks a significant moment for the global Tibetan community. In July, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will turn 90 years old, and 2025 has been officially designated by Sikyong Penpa Tsering as “The Year of Compassion.” This is not only an honor to the Dalai Lama’s lifelong message of peace and wisdom but also calls for renewed global attention to Tibet’s ongoing struggle for cultural preservation, human rights, and self-determination. As we reflect on this momentous occasion, we ask: What does the future hold for Tibet? How can Tibetan identity thrive in a rapidly changing world? What role does Tibet play in the global discourse on human rights, environmental sustainability, and compassion?
