Special Screening + Discussion: Tibet in Song

The International Campaign for Tibet Europe will screen the film Tibet in Song in February 2026.

Tibet in Song celebrates the richness of traditional Tibetan folk music while also confronting the harsh reality of more than five decades of cultural repression under Chinese rule. The film is directed by Ngawang Choephel, a former Tibetan political prisoner and also the director of Ganden, A Joyful Land. His unique perspective presents Tibet in a way never before captured on film. The movie features original compositions by Ngawang Choephel combined with traditional Tibetan folk songs.

The film will be shown at five locations in the Netherlands and one location in Belgium:

The film will be screened in English. We don’t make any profit from ticket sales. The ticket price simply covers the costs of organising the event.
