Who we are

Connecting people, experience, and action to keep Tibet’s struggle alive.

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) is an independent non-governmental organisation founded in 1988 to promote human rights, democracy, and self-determination for the people of Tibet

What began as a small initiative has grown into a global network with offices in Washington DC, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Brussels, and partnerships that extend to Australia and beyond. Guided by the vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, ICT advocates for a peaceful resolution of the Tibet issue through dialogue between the Chinese government and Tibetan representatives.

At the heart of ICT are the people who make this work possible:

  • A committed board that provides strategic direction and global oversight.
  • Dedicated teams in our offices who lead advocacy, research, communication, and campaign work.
  • A growing community of members, supporters, and volunteers who give Tibet a voice around the world.

For over three decades, ICT has stood with Tibetans, documenting human rights abuses, amplifying their voices, and ensuring Tibet’s story remains visible on the global stage.
