From 7 to 15 February, the 3rd edition of Tibet Film Days (TFD) brought powerful storytelling, music, and dialogue to audiences across the Netherlands. Organized by International Campaign for Tibet Europe, this year’s festival once again created a meaningful space for reflection on Tibetan culture, identity, and resilience.
Screenings took place in Groningen, Utrecht, Den Haag, Nijmegen, and Amsterdam. At each location, engaged audiences came together to watch films that not only inform but also connect people.
At the heart of the program was the powerful documentary Tibet in Song by former political prisoner Ngawang Choephel. The film showcases the richness of traditional Tibetan folk music while also highlighting the painful reality of more than fifty years of cultural repression under Chinese rule. With original compositions by Ngawang Choephel and authentic folk songs performed by Tibetan singers, the film left a deep impression on audiences.

We would like to warmly thank everyone who attended. Thanks to your engagement, this edition was a great success.
