Prayer flags (paper)

These 5 paper prayer flags are handmade by Tibetan refugees in Nepal: Windhorse, Prayer Flag Garland’.

Traditionally, Tibetan prayer flags are made of textile, on which are prayers for prosperity and long life for all living things. The five colors represent the five elements. Blue represents “sky,” white represents “wind,” red represents “fire,” green represents “water” and yellow represents “earth.”
