Together with our partners, we work to keep Tibet at the heart of the European Union\u2019s agenda.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>European Union<\/strong> and its institutions have made Tibet a recurring concern in their engagement with China. The <strong>European Parliament<\/strong>, in particular, has led the way \u2014 adopting <strong>over fifty resolutions on or mentioning Tibet since the 1980s<\/strong>, defending human rights, religious freedom, and the Tibetan people\u2019s right to preserve their identity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The International Campaign for Tibet, through our office in Brussels, works closely with <strong>EU officials, diplomats, and parliamentarians in Brussels and Strasbourg<\/strong> to make sure Tibet\u2019s voice is heard \u2014 and that <strong>Europe\u2019s enduring solidarity with the Tibetan people<\/strong> translates into <strong>meaningful action<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How we work at the European Union<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Engaging with EU institutions:<\/strong> We maintain regular contact with officials and diplomats from the European External Action Service, the EU Delegation in Beijing and relevant European Commission departments, to advocate for stronger and more consistent EU action on Tibet.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Supporting parliamentary action:<\/strong> ICT provides expertise and analysis to Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and propose actions &#8211; resolutions, hearings, statements, parliamentary questions&#8230; &#8211; that keep attention on Tibet and the situation of the Tibetan people.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Building alliances:<\/strong> ICT collaborates with European NGOs, think tanks, and human rights networks to amplify Tibet\u2019s visibility and foster coordinated advocacy across Europe.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/savetibet.nl\/donate\/\">Become a donor and support our work at the EU to keep European support for Tibetans alive <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Keeping Tibet on the EU Agenda&nbsp; Europeans have long stood with the Tibetan people in their peaceful struggle for freedom and human dignity.
