Standing with Tibet – from The Hague to the Himalayas<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Netherlands has a proud tradition of defending human rights. Together with our supporters, we ensure that Tibet\u2019s struggle for freedom is never forgotten.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In Tibet, even simple acts, like speaking your own language, practising your faith, or showing loyalty to the Dalai Lama<\/strong>, can lead to prison. These abuses cannot remain hidden<\/strong>. The Netherlands plays a vital role in making sure the world pays attention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why the International Campaign for Tibet <\/strong>works actively in the Netherlands. We mobilise citizens, engage parliamentarians, and cooperate with ministries and the UN<\/strong> to keep Tibet on the political agenda. By connecting the voices of Tibetans<\/strong> with the Dutch public<\/strong> and decision-makers<\/strong>, we help bring truth to light and pressure for change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, the Dutch Parliament<\/strong> has passed important motions and resolutions<\/strong> for Tibet. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/strong> and Dutch UN missions<\/strong> have been strong allies. And with more than 1,000 Tibetans<\/strong> living here, the Netherlands is home to a vibrant community that keeps Tibet\u2019s culture alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
