This summer, International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) and NGO <\/a>DEI<\/a> are organizing <\/a>again a special Tibetan art exhibition in The Hague. With this exhibition we celebrate the 91st birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and bring people together around Tibetan art, culture and personal stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 26 June through 12 July, we invite visitors to explore contemporary Tibetan art and connect with the artists behind the works. The exhibition includes works by Tibetan artist Ngoshi<\/a> Choedon<\/a><\/strong>, who will be present in person. Ngoshi was born in Tibet and lives in India. She creates detailed paper collages and works with traditional Tibetan clothing to explore themes of identity, memory and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the exhibition includes selected works by Dutch artist Peter George <\/a>d’Angelino<\/a> Tap<\/a><\/strong>, whose paintings and sculptures explore clothing and fashion as changing reflections of culture, history and movement. The artists bring together diverse perspectives and demonstrate how art can connect identity, narratives and cultural experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the exhibition, there will be several activities. On 26 June, the exhibition will be opened with a public reception where the artists will be present to speak about their work and connect with visitors. There will be room for conversation, exchange and experiencing the exhibition together. On 4 July, visitors can participate in a creative collage workshop around self-discovery and identity, and on 8 July, during a conversation evening, there is the opportunity to learn more about the bond between the family of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and ICT Europe Executive Director Wangpo Tethong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this exhibition, we not only want to celebrate the Dalai Lama’s birthday, but also create space for meeting, reflection and cultural exchange. Everyone is welcome to stop by and experience Tibet in a special and creative way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
